Sewing Group

Our sewing group meets every Thursday afternoon from 3-5 PM. If you are interested and want more information, please fill out the below form.

Our current project is the Bits and Pieces Quilt, a lap-size quilt with 24 blocks.
We will provide:
- Multicolored fabrics for the main part of blocks
- Cutting mats & rotary cutters
- Irons & boards
- Instructions & hands-on teaching to those who need it
- Support & encouragement for all!
Please come with:
- Light-colored background fabric (2 yards) (This should be very light so it will contrast well with the other colors)
- Medium color fabric for first border (3/4 yd)
- Dark color fabric for second border (1 3/8 yd)
- Backing fabric (4 1/4 yd) in any color or pattern
- Batting (59″ x 78″)
- Thread
- Sewing machine, if you have one (we may have a couple available to loan)
The only fabric you will need for the first class is your background fabric. Others can be chosen later when you’ve decided on overall colors for your blocks.
Yardage amounts given are for the lap size. If you wish to do a larger size, we can provide the specs for the size you wish to make. You may need to do some of your sewing at home if you want to finish at the same time as others.
