The weather has settled; it’s time to plant your garden. What do you want to grow this season? If tomatoes, don’t forget to put them in the ground; if green beans, don’t plant beets instead. What you reap in the fall depends upon what you have planted in the spring. It’s the same with life. Galatians 6: 7-8 teaches clearly that “God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” As you make your way through this day consider what you are doing as opposed to what you should be doing. What will you reap? A rich, full life of heavenly rewards, or a future filled with the destruction and disappointment that sin brings? Plant carefully: today is the first day of the rest of your life. May God bless you as you choose to follow Him. Pastor Jim.
