“I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date!” cried the White Rabbit, or maybe it was someone you know.
You get my meaning: some people are ALWAYS late: late for work, late for dinner, late for church.
Some people misjudge the time it takes to get from one place to another; some just dawdle and lose track of time.
I know someone who isn’t late, though: the Lord. When He is needed, when you’ve reached the end of your rope, He will be on time to bail you out.
In Romans 5: 6 we are taught: “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.”
The ungodly: that’s you and me. He came at just the right time to rescue us from all that oppresses us and keeps us from living a full life.
