Ever been the last one chosen? To fill a spot on a committee, or maybe chosen last because you’re a girl on a nearly all-boys baseball squad?

Being the last one chosen hurts sometimes; it makes you feel that your talent isn’t as good as the next person’s. Being chosen last can wear you down.

Consider, though, that you WERE chosen, even if you were chosen last. At least you are part of the team or committee or group. You now have a chance to show your worth.

Perhaps you are the only Christian at your workplace. Consider that God has chosen you to be His witness there,. You have been chosen by God!

I Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Be glad today, if you are the only one at work who thinks about, talks about and witnesses to the grace of God through Christ. You have been chosen to do so. You have been chosen by God. Pastor Jim.
