“Peace on earth.” Words we see and hear at Christmastime, on cards, in carols–I even saw it on a public school sign yesterday! Peace on earth is something we all hope for and strive for, but few of us achieve.
Worry keeps us from being at peace, as does fear, but those are emotions that we can control, if we trust in the One who has the ability to give us peace.
Isaiah 26: 3-4 reminds us, “He will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the rock eternal.”
We may not have peace in the world, as nations seek to rule over nations, but we can have peace in our hearts as we trust in Christ. One of the great gifts He has brought to us is peace–trust Him, trust Him with your whole heart every day, and He will bring you peace.
