What we will celebrate on Good Friday, is our rescue.

As surely as a firefighter may have pulled you out of a burning building, Jesus came to save us from disaster.

Hear Colossians 1: 13-14: “For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

When Jesus went to the cross He took ALL of the sins of mankind upon Himself.

Forgiveness became available to any who believe this and who acccept Him as Savior because of His sacrifice.

Just like that firefighter, or EMT, or police officer who acts heroically on your behalf, Jesus did the same–but His sacrifice was not for your human body alone, but for your very soul.

That, my friends, is what we will remember on Good Friday, and that will lead us to Easter Sunday. Pastor Jim.
