You’re walking along when you feel a sharp pain in your foot. You’ve a pebble in your shoe and now every step you take is painful. What do you do? You stop, take off your shoe and remove the pebble. Problem solved.

It’s an easy solution. Failure to remove the pebble could have consequences later, such as infection, but the simple act of removing it solves the problem.

It’s the same with the sin in our lives. We all do the wrong things; by our actions we dishonor God who created us, but we need not live with the consequences of sin.

Just as you can stop and remove the pebble, so too can you remove the sin by asking God’s forgiveness. Ephesians 2: 4-5 teaches that, “because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.”

No need for you to live with the pain of sin; seek God’s forgiveness and be blessed today. Pastor Jim.
