Have you ever considered that your life is something like making your morning coffee?
Take a carafe of water and just heat it up, right? Of course not! Doing so would give you only hot water. You have to add the coffee grounds and let it brew, to give the water flavor, substance and body.
Your life is no different: apart from the in-filling of the Holy Spirit life is empty and meaningless, just like water with no coffee. But when you add the flavor of the Holy Spirit, your life comes alive, just as when you add the coffee grounds.
Ephesians 3: 16 puts it this way: “I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit.”
So fill your coffee mug with rich flavor and pray for the richness of God’s Holy Spirit to fill your heart with love, joy and peace in full measure, for your benefit and His glory. Pastor Jim.
