What are your plans for today, the first of 2019? Do you have a “to do” list? Are you just planning to veg and watch some football?
Whatever those plans may be, first stop and consider all that the Lord has done for you during this past year. Keep in mind that all that you have, all that you are, are the results of God’s grace to you.
Our lives should always be lived in response to God’s love. We don’t do good things in order to get more from His bounty; He has already met our every need!
In Psalm 98:1 the Psalmist proclaimed, “Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him.”
Rejoice and be glad this New Year’s Day, remembering all that He has done for you, then chart a course for 2019 in response to that love! Happy New Year! Pastor Jim.
