You know yourself; you know the sort of person you once were. Deep down you’re a decent sort, but, somehow, you haven’t always behaved like it.
You’ve made mistakes. Big ones. I mean, you’ve really screwed up your life. You didn’t mean to; it just happened.
Now, though, you feel as if you’ve grown up. It’s time to leave all of your misery in the past, but you just can’t seem to get beyond some of the awful things you’ve done.
You’re stuck in the muck of the past. Your past sins are too many, and too bad. You’re sorry, so very sorry, but….
The Lord spoke through the prophet Isaiah (44:22) and said, “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”
God is prepared to forgive you, no matter what you have done. Isn’t it time for you to trust Him, forgive yourself and accept His love? Pastor Jim.
