Although it’s not my favorite thing, occasionally I find my best option to be fast food. It’s not the food that I find troubling, though, but the lack of respect shown to customers.

Honestly, I think that at one particular franchise they train their customers in how NOT to be polite: rarely do they greet with “Hello” (instead only “what can I get you?”) and “thank you” is never spoken, replaced by “Have a nice day,”–if you even get that.

Why is it so difficult to say “thank you”? And since when did being polite cease to be part of our culture?

I Thessalonians 5:16-18 is very clear: Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Perhaps this should be part of a fast food training program.

Have a wonderful day. Be blessed and THANK YOU for reading. Pastor Jim.
