“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” II Corinthians 4:4
These words of Paul, written two thousand years ago, indicate that some things never change. There were those in his day who did not believe in the saving grace of Jesus; there are those today who also refuse to believe.
It is such a shame that some people refuse to accept God’s mercy, choosing instead to live lives of disobedience and unbelief, walking in darkness rather that living vibrant lives in the light of Christ.
It is by their unbelief that they sentence themselves to eternal misery.
What to do about it? Keep the light of Christ alive by living your life as a testimony to His grace to you. You represent Christ to the unbeliever–let that person see how much Christ has done for you–and pray he will yet come around.
If he does, that will be to your credit, but if he does not, his failure will not be counted against you. Pastor Jim.
