Serious illness. Death. Two subjects we generally don’t like to think about but, in reality most of us have those things in common.

Many of us will face serious, debilitating, life threatening illness at some point and, of course, all of us will eventually die.

While I don’t believe it is healthy to obsess about our mortality, we still should check in with our bodies and our souls, to see if they are in harmony with one another.

If you take good care of your body, it likely will take care of you for a good , long time and if you maintain a healthy soul, you can enjoy a peaceful rest at life’s end.

Psalm 73:26 reminds us, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Check in with your soul today by spending an hour or so in worship. You surely will be blessed and ready to face another week. See you at 10:00 am? Pastor Jim.
