Sunday: the first and BEST day of the week.

It’s the day we go to church to worship our God. It’s exciting to gather with other believers, to pray and sing together and hear the Word proclaimed.

It’s too bad, though, that so many will remain at home, doing other, far less important tings. Many of them profess to believe but don’t; many don’t believe at all, mocking those of us who have put our hope and trust in Christ.

I Corinthians 1: 18 tells us, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.”

Hear that? “foolishness to those who are perishing.” Aren’t you glad that you believe and that as a result of your belief you are NOT perishing, but gearing up for eternal life!

That’s something to celebrate this morning, isn’t it?

And, while you’re at it, you can pray for that unbeliever who stayed at home. There is always hope! See you at 10:00 am!
