You’re heading out on a long journey. You’ve packed everything you need: extra clothes, snacks, games for the kids and the gas tank is full.

Away you go. The trip is long and tiring. The road has twists and turns, but you’re doing okay.

But it’s the gas. You can’t run out. Sooner or later you have to stop and fill up the tank.

It doesn’t matter whether you stop at a roadside station in the boondocks or a plaza on the Interstate; the important thing is that you refill and don’t run out.

That’s like your spiritual life. The longer you go, the more you will need to refill your life with God’s grace. The Psalmist phrased it this way (29:2): “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His Name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness.”

Don’t run out of spiritual fuel. Worship at the church of your choice today. Keep your spiritual engine running. Pastor Jim.
