It’s Sunday, the day of rest. At least it’s supposed to be a day of rest but these days people treat Sunday as just another day, possibly with the opportunity to pick up some overtime.
Think for a moment, though. God ordained that Sunday should be a day of rest; a day set aside from all of the others. Setting aside this day gives you a new perspective on the rest of the week and on the remainder of your life.
Take a deep breath, finish your coffee and then get ready to worship at your local church, to praise God for all that He has done for you this past week, but also to seek His will for the coming days.
In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:33) Jesus teaches us to “seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Seek Him in worship, then, and the blessings will be yours. Pastor Jim.
