We all know there are people out there who love to hear themselves talk, and talk they do, on and on.
Blah, blah, blah! How do we know who and what to believe? Just because someone speaks loudly or forcefully doesn’t mean that what is being said is accurate or true.
It is important that we check things out for ourselves and come to our own conclusions and beliefs, based on what we learn, not just on what we are told.
This is most important in matters of faith. Ephesians 5:6 reminds us, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.”
Don’t be misled. There are those who preach falsehood, but God wants you to know the truth, so search His word for yourself. The truth is there; you only have to look for it.
Why not start today? At First Baptist we worship at 10:00 am. You are welcome to join us! Pastor Jim.
