It Came Upon a Midnight Clear (v. 2): “And ye, beneath a crushing load, whose forms are bending low, who toil along the climbing way, with painful steps and slow, look now! for glad and golden hours come swiftly on the wing: o rest beside the weary load and hear the angels sing.”

Some folks struggle for years, with illness, poverty, the effects of abuse or any other of many troubles. They find themselves burdened to the point of being bent over, staggering through life with slow and painful steps, with little hope for a better tomorrow.

Always looking downward, focusing on our problems, never allows us to look heavenward, to behold God’s glory.

Jesus came to release people from their pain, the burden of toil and the weight of heartache.

In His mercy, God has provided a Savior who will carry your burden for you. Thank God that believing in Christ enables you to lay your burden down and take time to listen to the song of the angels. Pastor Jim.
