You see it everywhere: at sporting events, in the background, behind the object of the camera, or on people’s license plates or on signs beside the road.
Wherever there are people you see it:
John 3: 16.
It’s likely the most quoted, most memorized verse of Scripture: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
If they can quote no other, Christians worldwide can quote this single verse.
It is so profound. In just a handful of words it sums up God’s love, man’s responsibility and the result of belief.
Eternal life. Life everlasting. Jesus died upon the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Rather than condemn us, God saves us by means of His Son’s sacrifice. Jesus rose from the death in proof of God’s power.
This is what we celebrate today, on Easter Sunday. Praise God for His most precious gift! Hallelujah! Pastor Jim.
