We live in an increasingly “PC” world and everyone knows it.

You have to walk on eggs so as not to offend anyone about anything, be it skin color, national origin, political beliefs, the way you part your hair–anything and everything is open to inspection and interpretation by the PC Police.

Except Christian beliefs. Those appear to be open season for anyone. Try expressing belief in Jesus Christ in a public forum and see where that gets you!

Political correctness goes out the window as you are shouted down.

It’s sad, really, because the freedoms that we embrace today are, for the most part, the product of our Judeo-Christian beliefs, established over 200 years ago, when our nation was formed.

Today, however, folks tend to overlook those beliefs in favor of an attitude that celebrates “diversity”, a word similar to “lukewarm”, with no foundation upon which to rest.

So be it, at least for now. I Peter 4:16 reminds us that “If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.”

The pendulum will swing. The Word of God will again prevail; do not be discouraged. It may not always look like it, but God is on our side, the side of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. Pastor Jim.
