Some days it’s almost impossible to keep going. You’re physically and emotionally spent.
You have nothing left to give.
But the world, in the form of your family, needy friends, employer and who knows who else just keeps closing in.
“Do this.” “I need you for this.” “Hey, I want you to…” The voices grow louder and louder and you just don’t have the energy to respond.
But…
“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength,” (Isaiah 40: 30-31a)
That’s the answer when you run out of gas but there is still more to be done, so take a deep breath and pray for the renewal that only the Lord can provide. And He will! Pastor Jim.
