The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1
What words of comfort those are when we never seem to have enough. Maybe it’s money or a better car or a new cell phone or some other thing that we humans count as vitally important in our daily lives.
Sometimes we feel used, abused or left out because we don’t have ENOUGH! And we want more!
But we have all we need, if we trust in Jesus to be our shepherd. That is the promise in this verse, that you “shall not want,”, meaning you lack for nothing that you really need to live a full and vibrant life.
Don’t worry about what you don’t have–you don’t need it!
Instead, rejoice that the Lord has blessed you with all that you need. Change your focus and see what blessings God will provide to you. Pastor Jim.
