I’m filthy rich, almost. So far today I’ve received 3 different e-mails from 3 different people, each one telling me I’ve been selected to receive a gift or grant of $8.5 million, $6.8 million and a whopping $11.2 million from generous people I don’t know in Burkina Faso, Nigeria and some other place I’ve never even heard of.

Wow! All I have to do is send them my personal information, including my bank account routing number and I’ll be rolling in dough!

It’s a scam, of course, and I’m sure you get them too. I’m pretty sure that if I send them my information I’ll be church mouse poor in no time, so I think I’ll pass.

It’s sad there is so much untruth in the world today, so many people trying to take advantage of others through lies and deceit. I’m glad that I place my trust in Jesus. As He said in John’s Gospel (8:32), “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”

If you’re struggling with life, trying to sort out fact from fiction, please join us for worship tomorrow at 10:00 am. We proclaim Jesus as Lord of life and God of truth. Belief in Him will set you on the pathway to truth. Have a blessed day.
