One very attractive thing about Jesus is that, in His humanity, He was just like we are. He came to earth in human form and demonstrated Godly living to us.
He lived as we do: having the same emotions and struggles that we face every day. He knew hunger and thirst, loneliness, the disappointment of a friend’s betrayal–every aspect of human life was experienced by Jesus.
That’s another reason why we can trust Him with our problems and challenges–He understands what we are going through because He faced it too.
Hebrews 2:18 reminds us that, “Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.”
Keep that in mind today if you are facing trials of one kind or another. We can trust Jesus because He’s already been there, and done that! Pastor Jim.
