There are two kinds of people in the world: dreamers and doers.

Dreamers do just that: they dream up ideas, often great and creative, but too often they fail to follow through.

Maybe they “haven’t worked out all the details yet” or “this might not be the best time,” or some other excuse, but, in the final analysis, the dream doesn’t become reality.

Doers, on the other hand, get things done. Perhaps they don’t have the imagination of the dreamers but when a doer is assigned a task you can be sure that it will be completed, and in good time.

Doers keep moving toward the goal.

The book of Proverbs (14:23) teaches us that ,”All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.”

We need dreamers in the world, but without the follow through of doers dreams become stagnant thoughts.

So dream on, but then get moving. Make that dream come true! Then everyone wins. Pastor Jim.
