One of the best things you can do for someone is to pray.

I know it sounds trite–most of us already have a prayer list; the problem is that sometimes we aren’t as diligent as we might be in our prayers.

Our intentions are good, but things get in the way: we are interrupted or we forget, or we fall asleep! We mean well, but….

But prayer is vitally important, for those who are lost, for those who have found the Lord but who are struggling and for those who are living glorious, God-blessed lives.

Hear Paul’s words in Colossians 1: 9, “since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.”

So pick someone and commit yourself to praying–really praying–for that person. Then watch the blessings flow. More on this tomorrow. Pastor Jim.
