“I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.” Philippians 1: 18b-19.
These words were written by the Apostle Paul as he suffered in prison. His life was filled with hardship, but he knew he was serving the Lord even as he endured life in a cell.
Paul was sustained by the prayers of loving friends, but he was also sustained by the Holy Spirit, guiding him through each day.
He knew that, in the end, if he stayed the course and did not falter, that God would be glorified in his life and, ultimately, his work would not be in vain.
Friends, sometimes life is not what we would like it to be. We have to deal with difficulties beyond our ability to control, but take heart!
If you believe that you are on the path the Lord has laid out for you, you will be justified, so hang in there and keep proclaiming His grace. He WILL deliver you. Pastor Jim.
