This happens all too often: a hiker loses his way on the Mt. Washington trail. The lost hiker may or may not be experienced; he may or not be well-equipped.
In any scenario, the hiker is lost, plain and simple.
Fish and Game have to be called to come to the rescue and, in nearly all instances, they are successful. The lost hiker is saved.
But who comes to rescue you when you get lost in life? When you lose your way and things become so confused, how do you find your way back onto the trail?
Who can you call to rescue you?
The Psalmist cried out to God, saying, “Show me your ways, O God, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25: 4-5
It is God who has the wisdom and ability to bring you back when you have lost your way. He will show you the way, teach you how to keep from becoming lost again and guide you every day of your life.
We are ever grateful for the NH Fish and Game and the selfless, saving work they do, but God is the greatest Savior of all. Pastor Jim.
