“He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3b.
Righteousness. A character trait pretty much out of favor in today’s “me first, I’m okay, you’re okay, anything goes” culture. Yet, if we are to be faithful to God we must restore righteousness as part of our daily living.
Our God is holy; we should strive to be holy too. I cringe every time I hear certain words or phrases thrown around with impunity by both men and women. I’m troubled by attitudes that I witness, by the plots of certain television shows, by what I hear on talk radio, etc.
We need to return to personal righteousness as another way to honor God. Let’s step up our game with a whole lot more “praise God” than “____you”. Honor God with what you say and how you live and He will bless you all the more. Pastor Jim.
