Proverbs 26:17, “Like one who seizes a dog by the ears is a passer-by who meddles in a quarrel not his own.”

That little tidbit of wisdom was written thousands of years ago, but it is no less valuable today. Do you know someone, who meddles in the business of others? Someone who always has “good advice”, whether asked for or not? Someone who just stirs the trouble pot with his or her snarky comments?

Those are people who do more harm than good because they don’t know the whole story. It’s easy to offer suggestions when you don’t have to live with the results.

Steer clear of meddlers, for they do you no good and can actually bring a lot of harm. After all, grabbing a dog by its ears can result in you being bitten, so be careful.

If you need wise counsel, take your problem to the Lord in prayer and He will bless you and show you the way. Pastor Jim.
