How are your relations with those around you? Do you get along with your in-laws, neighbors, co-workers and the folks you worship with, or is there tension among you, or outright dislike?
As God’s children we are called to respect others, to love and encourage them, just as we ourselves have been encouraged. Our mission is to shine the light of God into dark places.
It’s difficult sometimes, though, when others disagree with you or outwardly oppose what you are attempting to do.
Still, the call is to love those near to you, for God loves them just as much as He loves you.
I John 2:9 is very clear: “Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.”
Our call is to be people of the light, not the darkness, so turn on the lightbulb of God’s love, be reconciled to one another, and shine His light and love on all around you. Pastor Jim.
