“The hurrier I go, the behinder I get!” We’ve all heard that, and most of us have been there.

We get so caught up in the “busyness” of life, consumed by all that we try to do, both inside and outside the church.

Our careers, grocery shopping, driving the kids, the Committees we’re part of–we rush back and forth, from daybreak until dark, then fall exhausted into bed, hoping for a few hours’ rest before doing it all over again.

Stop! Hold on! Take a breath! Psalm 46:10 reminds us to

“Be still and know that I am God.”

All of your frantic rushing from here to there and back again means absolutely nothing if you have forgotten that God is in charge, and in control.

Without God first in your life, your effort is useless.

Give Him the glory. Stop relying on your own strength and energy and focus on the Lord. You will find you can do more and more effectively, than anything you try to do on your own. Pastor Jim.
