“Remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life.” That’s a curious bit of wisdom; for some an uplifting message of promise, while for others a reminder of the daily drudgery that they face. After all, if it’s the first day of the rest of your life and your life is terrible, why look forward to it? Because it can be improved, that’s why. No matter how hopeless you might think your life is, it can be made better. Keep in mind the words of this wonderful hymn:“Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” Join us this morning at 10:00 o’clock and let us worship together this marvelous God who offers redemption, mercy, forgiveness and peace; then you will rejoice, knowing that the rest of your life lies before you and that you can live freely, basking in His love.
